Bloody Vaginal Discharge




A bloody vaginal discharge does not indicate a virus which causes a plantar wart or venereal wart. Usually, this reddish flow decreases in three weeks following the delivery and becomes brownish in color. Consult your doctor if the flow turns reddish again or increases in amount. Also, examination is needed if the flow appears to have odor. A bloody vaginal discharge does not indicate a virus which causes a plantar wart or venereal wart.

Also referred to as lochia, this flow from the vagina is a normal course after delivery and can last for a few weeks as the body adjusts to a non-pregnant state. During the first 3-4 days, the flow is watery and heavy. Gradually, it changes in color and amount. A bloody vaginal discharge does not indicate a virus which causes a plantar wart or venereal wart.
