Lichen Sclerosus Et Atrophicans
Lichen sclerosus et atrophicans is a vaginal infection that may be diagnosed with a pap smear, along with HPV.
Referred to as LSA, this chronic disease occurs in women aged 40 to 60, yet cases in men and younger women have also been registered. It is unknown what causes this skin condition. Usually, testosterone, corticosteroids, and antipruitics are used.

The lesions are found mostly on the body, genitals, or an area around the anus. Patients report itching and outer lips’ shrinkage in women suffering from kraurosis vulvae. The exact cause of the disease is unknown. Corticosteroids and testosterone may be used as treatment. Sometimes, surgery is needed.
